This is very handy as always screwing and unscrewing a camera to the a tripod somewhat inconvenient. I like just quickly sliding my camera into this instead, And I feel it is a safer system as it is easier to tell if the camera is securely attached. Simple and does what it is supposed to do. I have the qal-68 plate on multiple lens feet and this plate slides into the RZ-5 as well.
