Maybe I got a bad unit, but I have found that the potentiometer (adjustment wheel) is very inaccurate and hard to use. Sometimes a quarter turn will change the value 5%, sometimes 50% and even worse, it won’t hold the value so you turn it to a value you like and when you pull your finger away from the wheel it jumps to a different value. This makes it extremely hard to use with any accuracy. One of the things I liked about it was the ability to tell exact values from the digital screen but the jumpiness of the adjustment wheel makes it fairly useless. The other issue I have with mine is that the lcd screen has a pretty big dead spot. It doesn’t prevent you from reading it, but it looks bad and causes some confusion when a number is displayed that could be another number but it’s unclear because of the dead spot (like 7 and 1…the dead spot covers the top left of the “7” so it’s hard to tell if it’s a 7 or a 1).Battery life is good, and it is fairly bright. It doesn’t get as dim as I would like but that’s not a dealbreaker. The color variations are nice and rich and it’s nice being able to punch in a specific value with the selection buttons. I don’t really have a use for the “lighting scenes” but there are a lot of them and they are pretty good.Again, I could have just gotten a bad unit but in my opinion there are better options out there for the same price.
